Once again the LRC has provided a jigsaw puzzle for students (or faculty) to work on when they need a bit of a study break. Be careful not to get too distracted; we’re offering just a little rest, not another way to procrastinate!
The last puzzle has been glued and framed and will soon be displayed in the LRC.
Good luck with exams!
April brings National Poetry Month to Canadians:
Established in Canada in April 1999 by the League, National Poetry Month brings together schools, publishers, booksellers, literary organizations, libraries, and poets across the country to celebrate poetry and its vital place in Canada’s culture. Communities and businesses participate through readings, festivals, book displays, and other events. THIS SPRING, EXPLORE THE FUTURE OF POETRY!
The Kitchener Public Library is celebrating by hosting a poetry reading with Rienzi Crusz on April 25th at 7pm.
Don’t have time to go to a poetry reading during exam week? Why not take a break, and relax your mind with some thought-provoking poems? Try a subject search for “Poetry” in the LRC catalogue or browse the literature section (call numbers PE or PS).
You’ve asked for it, and now you’ve got it! To help students during the exam period, the LRC is extending its hours starting on Saturday, April 21st.
- Saturday, April 21st
- Sunday, April 22nd
- Monday, April 23rd to Thursday, April 26th
- Friday, April 27th
